The program is based on one of the most famous piano concerts in world music literature. “Musical composition, as if woven from human soul’s melodic modulations, is a singing, symphonic philosophy of a life, the sweet Russian symphonic existentialism, it belongs to almost ten best creations of human genius”.

“Nutcracker” occupies a special place among creations of the composer; it’s a starting point in searches for the meaning of life, one can hear meditations with a theme of eternity.

The theme since earliest times – overcoming of evil spell by power of love, musical and choreographic tale not so much about childhood as of the turning point in life when excitement of hopes of the unfamiliar youth has appeared, yet childish habits and fears are still here… When dreams draw feelings and thoughts forward, into unconscious – into life, which is only foreboded…

5. Michael Josef Jackson (“Billie Jean”/“Black or White”/” Give In to Me”/ “Speechless”/“Childhood”/“Heal the World”/ “Earth Song”) (Medley)

In memory of the great singer, dancer and composer Michael Josef Jackson (“And we love You more, Michael…”)

The idea, which inspired the creation of the medley, based on compositions of Michael Jackson, was to show a unique diversity of the talent and truly unlimited possibilities of the great American performer and composer in creation of music of such various genres. From the very beginning of our work we understood how great and bounder free his legacy is and what colossal responsibility is to show this unbelievable diversity at its maximum in just 4.50 min medley – from disco and rhythm-and-blues to hard rock and lyrical ballads and then further – to the anthem and social protest. Medley starts with a recognizable, iconic, precise rhythm of “Billie Jean”, appearance of a mysterious fog above the surface of a lake, reminding us of “Thriller”, and play of water and light, creating illusion of a famous “moon walk”. All of sudden the melody is changed to dancing “Black or White”, which smoothly flows into hard rock “Give In To me”, filled with passion and secret desires, that is why the jets are lit with mystic violet colour. Then “Speechless” song starts, one of the most lyrical compositions in musician’s legacy, followed by “Childhood” ballad and in this very moment above the spacious Olympic Plaza the voice of Michael reigns completely for a few seconds and in depth of dark blue water of a night lake strobe stars twinkle. Medley approaches its end with anthem “Heal the World” and reaches the zenith in orchestrated “Earth Song”, when hundreds brightly coloured jets shoot simultaneously into the sky and grandeur of the final act symbolizes the triumph of a reason over madness of destruction and victory of a life over death

“Billie Jean” – blends elements of post-disco, rhythm-and-blues, funk-and-dance-pop ;

“Black or White” – song has elements of dance, rap and hard rock, guitar solo;

“Give In To Me” – hard rock and heavy metal ballade with aggressive sexual flavour;

“Speechless” – ballade focused on the track’s a capellas, lyrics and music (lost of words because of love);

“Childhood” – operatic pop piece, autobiographical, the theme of the track centers around his difficult childhood experiences;

“Heal the World” – anthem, Michael Jackson was most proud to have created;

“Earth Song” – operatic pop piece, ballade, which incorporates elements of blues, gospel and opera. Michael Jackson had a long standing history of releasing socially conscious material. “Earth Song” was the first, that overtly dealt with the environment and animal welfare.
